I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer vacation. I certainly did, and now I am rested and ready to get back to work!! There are a lot of fun things going on in the Media Center this year. Below is a list of programs and activities that I am looking forward to. I hope you take the time to come by and see me. I am here to help you find just the right book, do research for your classes, create PowerPoint presentations, whatever it may be that you need. Also, returning this year is our Maker Space which includes some really great Legos, K'Nex, Snap Circuts, Little Bits, a Makey - Makey kit, and various arts and crafts activities. You are welcome to come to the Media Center before school, during lunch, or with a pass from your classroom teacher to use this space.
Like last year, we will have ongoing contests and Literature activities that everyone is invited to participate in. For example, our weekly Ruzzle Puzzle contest, virtual library scavenger hunt drawings, and monthly events including Biographies and Breakfast in September, our 2nd annual Halloween "Book Character" pumpkin decorating contest in October, and in December we will have a cookie exchange, just to name a few.
For those of you who love to read, we are once again participating in the Hillsborough County MS Battle of the Books. Please take a look at the BOB display in the Media Center and see Mrs. Supple if you are interested in trying out for the team.
