Spotlight on September!
 
 
There will be several exciting events going on in the Media Center in September. 
  • The week of September 19 - All classes will be watching videos on Digital Citizenship.  These videos will cover a variety of topics including your how to evaluate a website to make sure it is credible and also how to be careful when leaving your "Online/Virtual Footprint".  Be sure to tune-in to these informative videos. (Lunch class)
  • The week of September 22 - Scholastic Book Fair will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m on Monday - Friday.  It will also be open on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
  • The week of September 22 - "Banned Books Week" Come by and check out our display of books that were once challenged or banned in the past.  You will have the opportunity to read books that some people or groups thought you should not be able to read.

I think that biographies and breakfast was a good idea because it let kids learn about another person's life, and, if they did the assigment, they had something to look forward to.In my opinion, we should have more activities like this, because it engages kids to learn about another person and be interested in other genra's of books besides fiction.
